Outreach
Service Motto Volunteering (SMV) team is a student forum at K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology. This is a unique student forum catering to outreach activities. Over 700+ volunteers are actively working in our forum. SMV has received 4 awards for the excellent work done by our volunteer team, namely: Bhumi Award for "Best Volunteer Engagement Campus", AICTE Lilavati Award under "Women and Adolescent Health", Atchayam Trust Award for "Institutional Excellence Award for Volunteer Support", and BNI Award for "Best Volunteers Support". SMV has signed MoUs with three NGOs: Bhumi, Atchayam Trust, and Talent Quest for India (TQI). Separate student volunteers are appointed as coordinators for each NGO. Under Bhumi, we have conducted calendar events, RTE calling, Covid calls, and Dhaan Utsav events. Under Atchayam, volunteers have rescued more than 50 roadside destitutes and continue weekly rescue operations. Under TQI, we have organized holistic development programs for government school students, skill development for college students, and various awareness programs.
